Ribeiras is a exploration of the lives of stray cats on both banks of the Douro River - Porto, Portugal, specifically in Fontaínhas and Pedra dos Gatinhos. Through video documentation, capturing the shelters and pathways these cats navigate, investigating the influence of location on shelter types, how they interact with these structures placed in the space and potential human interference.
A series featuring five self-portraits with projected images. The project originated from a selection of photos captured during a period of time, which individually reminded me of shelters but lacked connections among themselves. The cohesion is achieved by transforming them into self-portraits, simultaneously revealing both the author and the depicted scenes.
Through a narrative where the body co-inhabits a given space, limiting its existence and movement, it seeks to detach itself from the semi-transparent film that surrounds it. This is a photography set in collaboration with Ana Sousa Santos.
Queerstream: A Representatividade nas Telas is a documentary about the representation of the LGBTQIA+ community in audiovisual and its impact on 90’s generation in Latin America.

The video represents a summary of Barbara’s path with her undergraduate thesis, which mixes history and cinema. Her passion for the Argentinian movie Medianeras took us to Buenos Aires, where she interviewed the director of the film, Gustavo Taretto.
Reflexo is a collection of pictures to represent how images can be made up.
All of the pictures were shot with something between the lens and the subject.
